Customizing My Clients List Display

The Column Chooser option on the My Clients screen allows you to customize the columns that are displayed in your client list.

The columns which are displayed by default in your Client List are Taxpayer or Company Name, Client ID, Password protected, Last Updated and Updated By.

Using this option, you can add more columns of information to be displayed in your client list, in addition to the information present by default.

To choose the columns that are to be included in your client list:

  1. Click Column Chooser from the top toolbar. The Choose Columns pane will appear on the right side of the screen.
  2. Select those fields of information that have to be included in your Client list. The Client List on the screen will refresh after you've made the required selection.
  3. Close the pane after finishing the customization.

You can customize the view of your My Clients list using the following features:

Drag and Drop:

To change the column order, drag any column heading to a different space in the list and drop it.

Column Sort:

To change the sort order of a column from ascending (default) to descending, click a column heading.

Searching and Filtering:

  1. Search for specific text in any column: Enter letters or numbers in the gold Search box under any of the column headings. The information in the column is filtered as you enter the search criteria, and only matching records are displayed on the list.
  2. Perform a parameters search: You can add parameter criteria to further define your search. Click the blue box in any of the search rows to see a list of available parameters. For example, in the Last Updated field, if you select the greater than symbol (>) as the search parameter, and enter 6/1/09 in the Search row, the search will return a list of clients that were updated after 6/1/09.
  3. To return to the full Client list, click the Clear Filter option in the search field, or click the Clear All Filter Criteria option at the beginning of the search row.

Note: The search function is not case sensitive. For example, it will not recognize any difference between "HOW" and "how".
