Ask a Product Trainer

Question: How can I be sure I'm not missing out on credits and incentives?

Answer: When you're using Credits & Incentives Pinpointer / Search by Jurisdiction, after you select your industry, Select All Credit Types, which casts a wide net and can help give you confidence that you’re not missing anything.

In your results table, you can filter by using the column heading dropdowns for Credit Type, Tax Type, Statutory/Discretionary, or Industry.

Note: When you use Search by Address, all credit types for that address will automatically be included, and you can filter your results as shown above.

Did You Know?

When searching by Jurisdiction, you can see the NAICS code.

When you hover on an Industry, the NAICS code is provided, which can be very helpful since states may classify things differently.

Kimberly Ladd

Occupation: Product Trainer
Years with Thomson Reuters: 8
Place of Birth: Nashville, Tennessee
Place of Residence: Bon Aqua, Tennessee
Education: BA, Psychology
Fun fact: I grow 80% of my own food.

Career History: I began my training career facilitating real estate investment seminars. Later in consulting and training positions, I designed and delivered a wide variety of professional and personal development seminars and workshops nationwide. With plans to expand our family and my desire to travel less, I came to the tax and accounting division of Thomson Reuters in 2007 as a Client Service Manager. Today as a Product Trainer, I deliver live webinars for Checkpoint® and PPC brands and provide client implementation guidance for Checkpoint Learning.

Personal Life: I live on a small hobby farm with my retired, career military husband and 2 kids in the Middle Tennessee area. We have a mix of chickens, pigs, sheep and horses. For fun I like to compete in equine speed events as well as restore/recirculate antiques, vintage items and other funky junk. I'm most passionate about preserving our natural resources, sustainability and self-sufficiency.
