Editing Custom Form Templates
You can edit Custom Templates as required. You can paste or enter text to create your own custom form. For best results, copy text from WordPad or NotePad instead of Word. The hidden formatting characters in Word can cause unexpected results.
Note: When customizing multiple versions of the same template, it is recommended to name them distinctly so you can tell them apart. For example, you can use different client letters for each preparer in your account, as well as different letters for amounts due or refunded.
To edit a custom template:
- Click Create Custom Forms option under Forms menu.
- Click Custom Templates on Create Custom Forms screen.
This will open Custom Templates tab displaying a list of previously added custom form templates. - Select a custom template from the list and click Edit from the top-toolbar.
- Edit and format the template as required.
- Click Save Form.
Note: Changes made to Custom Form Templates do not revise custom forms previously saved to clients.
