Using Form/Line Finder
The Form/Line Finder tool lets you search for tax guidance by year, form, and optionally, schedule and line number. You can access Form/Line Finder from either the Search screen or the Table of Contents screen.
To use Form/Line Finder:
- Access Form/Line Finder in one of the two following ways:
- On the Search screen, click Federal on the Practice Area drop-down list, and then click Form/Line Finder in the Go To section of the left navigation bar.
- On the Table of Contents screen, click Form/Line Finder in the Jump To section of the left navigation bar.
- On the Form/Line Finder screen, enter the tax year you want to research in the Enter Tax Year field.
- Enter the form number in the Enter Form Number field.
- Optionally, provide a line number in the Form/Schedule Line Number field or a tax schedule in the Schedule field.
- Click Go to begin the search.
