Setting User Options
The Set User Options screen lets administrators limit the number of incorrect login attempts, set password requirements, and manage the default preparer selection.
To access Set User Options:
- Click Set User Options under Administration menu.
- The Set User Options screen will open in a new tab, where you can set Login Options, Form List Options, Password Options and Other Options.

-
Under Login Options, check Limit Bad Login Attempts box.
-
Select the maximum number of bad login attempts a user can make before being locked out using the Number of attempts drop down.
-
Use Unlock Username by drop down to select an unlock method: Admin Unlocks or Wait 20 Minutes.
Note: When you select the Admin Unlocks option, e-form RS will block access until an administrator clears the Locked Out Indicator from the User's login on the User's List. Only a Local Administrator has the access to do this.

Under Password Options, you can set the password requirements for the users on your account by enabling/disabling the below options:
- Require Strong Password - Users will be required to use at least 3 of the following characters types while framing a password: Numbers, Upper Case Alphabets, Lower Case Alphabets or Special Characters.
- Change Passwords - Users will be necessitated to change their passwords after a specified period of time. You must select the number of days a user password remains valid for.
Note: Previously used passwords will not be allowed for re-use.
- Force Password change on initial login - Users will be prompted to change their passwords after their Initial login.
- Hide Password on My Users screen - Keep the passwords hidden on My Users screen as a security measure.
Note: You can also change passwords of the users in your account.

Enable Do Not Show Form Status on My Forms Screen box to hide the Form Status Column on My Forms Screen.

-
Below Other Options, enable Only administrators can change default preparer selection box to restrict users from making changes to the Default Preparer selected by you.
Note: e-Form RS Administrators can grant rights to other users that will allow them to update Preparer Profiles and Assign Preparers. Enabling the above option, however, reserves the administrator's right to set a default preparer for the account.
